Michael Cart talks about ultraconserved words

podcast After a summer hiatus, Infopeople’s book reviewer Michael Cart is back with a new podcast. It’s hard to imagine, but there are about two dozen words that have not changed in 15,000 years! They are called ultraconserved words, and include (among others) “mother,” “not,” and “worm.” Michael Cart looks at these words, as well as discussing a newly discovered novel by Pearl Buck – and the effects of the federal sequester on the Library of Congress.
